STAGE CLASSES

STAGE CLASSES

Keen, dedicated and talented students have the opportunity to be invited to join one of our stage classes. Stage class students represent our school in several eisteddfods, competitions, major productions and community events. As they are part of an elite team, we expect utmost dedication and effort from the students, as just one member of the team can easily affect the entire group.

REQUIREMENTS AND EXPECTATIONS

Students must attend at least one jazz and /or ballet class per week to be considered. Ballet is compulsory as it raises the standard of technique within the group. Students are to attend all scheduled classes as well as any extra rehearsals called. Parents and students must be aware that some travelling will be necessary to and from performances, and it is the responsibility of the parent to arrange their child’s transportation. Costumes will need to be purchased or hired.

Parents and students must both sign a stage class agreement that binds you to your team for one year. The reason for this is so that choreography will not be ruined mid-year (e.g. partner work or group formations). Our contracts are from July-July. All group members conduct themselves with good sportsmanship and etiquette whilst representing our school. Apart from sickness or travel, group members must attend every eisteddfod or performance. Students who represent Plie in stage classes, must exclusively dance with Plie, Groove'n'Shuffle
